IPL may be a big leap forward in Indian sports arena.
Identifying talent from all corners of the country (and probably world) and giving chance to promising youngsters (many of them are barely in 20′s), and most of all adding to the raw entertainment for people who love cricket!
It’s interesting from the commercial point of view, as this event is generating enormous capital over the past two years. And it has finally exceeded other professional leagues such as English Premier League. Further details are mentioned in this web page: “Indian IPL Teams Now Worth More than English Premier League Clubs”
We need more such initiatives which will encourage sports persons to concentrate on soccer, tennis, etc. Specially Tennis and Soccer where India lags way behind!
The other day I heard this phrase at lunch (fortune cookie). That evening I watched the movie “Rangeela”
I just couldn’t believe what I was watching.., it was absolute fun to watch every scene, complemented by out of the ordinary background score offered by none other than AR Rahman (specially the scenes with strong emotions)…
And then after couple of days, I just realized what made that movie a block buster 15 years ago…
It was coming together of a dream team, Ram Gopal Verma, Aamir Khan, and AR Rahman…, which projected magic on the screen!
I also wanted to share my experience with DROID. Its a piece of work! The perfect PC on the go, browsing is comparable to usual desktop speeds when you are in the 3G network coverage. All Google apps are seamlessly integrated into the phone. The good/fun part is sharing of data between applications. For instance, you can upload pics into facebook app from your local gallery. The phone has a 5 MP camera.
Its like a dream team, coming together of phone and PC. Haven’t been looking into the open source API which allows developers to tweak the apps, and develop custom one’s.
Amazing to watch all the people who are passionate about a cause. Hope you enjoy watching this video as well! I believe am passionate about my work. What are you passionate about ?
One of my favorite readings is this website. No wonder I have come across some quality reading in this article.
Here is the excerpt I found interesting…
“Knowledge@Wharton: What are the most important qualities of a leader?
Riady: A leader needs to have a vision, because at the end of the day, the vision must drive the organization. It must drive people. And a strong vision attracts people like a magnet and gets people to make changes in the community.
But it’s not just about having a vision. [It's also about] having humility. That’s very difficult. The more successful you are, the more you face the temptation of being egoistic and full of pride. It’s also about having the heart to serve, to do things not for yourself but for others. Those are the three things: vision, humility and the ability to serve.”
I personally experienced what the author is trying to say. Unknowingly or knowingly the ego makes you look like a bad person. Humility is the best friend anybody can ever have!
